Getting started

Play without an account

You don't need an account to score. Tap Play now on Home and start a game. Your games, players and stats are kept for you on our servers, tied to the phone or browser you played on.

Step by step

  1. Start playingOn Home, tap Play now. No email or password is needed.
  2. Save when you're readyOpen Settings and tap Save your games, or tap the Keep this game? prompt after a game.
  3. Pick a way to sign inChoose Google, Apple, or your email. With email, type the code we send you, or tap the link in it.

How long your games are kept

Games played without an account are deleted after 30 days without play. Saving them to an account keeps them for good. Settings shows Playing without an account at the top as a reminder, and Home offers to keep your games once you've played three.

What needs an account

Scoring, stats and history all work without one. These need an account:

  • Adding Friends, and joining a game someone else is scoring from its link.
  • Running tournaments.
  • A profile with your name, handle and photo.
  • Joining a venue's crew.

Joining a tournament from its sign-up link doesn't need one: you can follow it and score your own matches as you are.

Saving keeps everything you've played so far. See Create an account for what else an account adds.

If you already have an account

On the Save your games screen, tap Sign in instead. The games you played on this phone move into that account.

Starting over

Start over, at the bottom of the Save your games screen, deletes every game, player and stat on this phone right away, and it can't be undone. To keep a copy first, use Download my data in Privacy & data.
