Playing and scoring
Use the caller and voice scoring
Both live in Settings → Scoring. The Audio caller speaks the score of each visit and calls the end of each leg. Voice scoring listens to you and enters the score.
The audio caller
The caller is on by default wherever the phone or browser has a speech voice, and Test plays a sample. You can pick its voice and speed, and turn on Call the finish. During a game, the speaker button at the top mutes or unmutes it.
Voice scoring
Voice scoring needs the iPhone or Android app and a phone that recognizes speech offline. Speech stays on the phone. Turning it on asks for the microphone.
- Tap the mic above the keypad and call your score: a total such as “one forty” in X01, or the darts, such as “treble twenty, five, miss”. Say “bust” or “undo” too.
- Keep listening during a leg is on by default: one tap scores every visit until the leg ends, and each result shows briefly with Undo. Turn it off and one tap scores one visit, with a moment to cancel.
- Only score after “score” ignores table talk: say “score, one forty” for it to count.
Voice scoring waits for the caller to finish before it listens, and stops when the leg ends or the app goes to the background.
Screen stays on
While a leg is in play, the app keeps the screen from going to sleep. This works in the iPhone and Android apps and in most current browsers; older Safari and Firefox don't support it, so the screen may dim there as usual.
