Friends and online play

Play a friend online

Online play is for two Friends at two boards. Each of you throws at your own board and scores your own darts on your own phone, and both phones show the whole match live. Open it from Play online beside the Play title, or go to Play → Online. You both need an account and to be Friends.

Step by step

  1. Open Play onlineOn Play, tap Play online.
  2. Pick a friendUnder Challenge a friend, tap the friend you want to play.
  3. Set the matchChoose X01 or Cricket, the rules and the match length. X01 can also have a handicap.
  4. Send itTap Send challenge. A coin toss decides who throws first once your friend accepts.

Challenges

Your friend sees your challenge under Challenges for you, and on Home, with Accept and Decline. They have a day to accept. Until then it waits under Waiting for an answer, where you can Cancel it. You can also challenge a friend from their profile.

You can have one online match and one challenge out at a time.

During the match

When it's your friend's turn, your phone shows them throwing and fills in their darts as they enter them. You can take back your own last visit to fix it until your friend throws. Between legs, either of you can tap Next leg.

Leaving, or losing connection

  • If your connection drops mid-visit, the app says so and sends the visit when you're back.
  • Leaving offers Leave for now, which keeps the match on for you to Resume from Play online, or Concede the match.
  • If one player is away for 5 minutes on their turn or between legs, the other can tap Take the win or Keep waiting.
  • A match where nobody throws for a day ends with no result. The legs played stay in your history.
