Choose which notifications you get

The app tells you about friend requests, game invites, your tournament matches and replies to your feedback. Everything shows up in Activity. Push notifications are extra, and you choose them in Settings → Notifications.

Step by step

  1. Open NotificationsIn Settings, tap Notifications.
  2. Turn on push for this deviceSwitch on Push on this device and allow notifications when your phone or browser asks.
  3. Check it worksTap Send a test. A test notification should arrive in a moment.
  4. Pick what pushesUnder Notify me about, switch off the kinds you don't want.

What you can switch

  • Friends: friend requests, and when someone accepts yours.
  • Game invites: invites, rematches, online challenges, and your turn online.
  • Tournaments: when you're added, and when your match is up.
  • Venues: invitations to join a venue's staff.
  • Feedback replies: when we reply to feedback or a report you sent.
  • News from us: now and then, what's new in the app.

Push and Activity

Switching a kind off only stops the push. It still appears in Activity, so you never lose an invite. The switches belong to your account and apply on every device where push is on, while push itself is turned on separately on each phone or browser.

Without an account

Playing without an account, you can still get pushes about your tournament matches and replies to your feedback.

If the switch is grayed out

Notifications are blocked for The Darts App in your phone or browser settings, so allow them there first. Some browsers don't support push at all, and on an iPhone, Safari only allows it once the app is added to the Home Screen (see Install the app). If pushes still don't arrive, see Notifications not arriving.
