Leagues
Run a cup or play-offs in your league
A cup is a knockout between the season's teams; play-offs are a cup seeded from the top of a table. Each tie is an ordinary league night with the season's games, line-ups, scoring and confirmation. Cup nights don't count in the table.
Step by step
- Start the cupOn the league's Table tab, under Cups, tap Start a cup.
- Name itPick the Kind, Cup or Play-offs, and give it a name.
- Choose the teamsFor a cup, tick the teams and pick a Random or As listed draw. For play-offs, pick the top 2, 4 or 8, and the table to take them from if there's more than one division.
- Draw itChoose whether to add a third-place tie and a Decider game, then tap Draw.
- Schedule the roundTap the Schedule button next to the cup (Schedule 2 ties, for example), pick the night, and tap Schedule. The first-named team in each tie is at home, and ties play at the home team's venue.
Who goes through
Once a tie's night is confirmed or forfeited, the team with more points goes through, then the one with more games won, then more legs won. The bracket shows each tie; tap one to open its night. Fixture lists show ties under their round, such as “Cup · Semifinal”. Schedule the next round when the ties ready for it have results that stand; a tie fed by a disputed night waits.
If teams are level at the cut for play-offs, the sheet says so: settle the table's order first, or pick the teams as a cup.
Level ties
If the cup has a Decider, a level night gets one more game: a one-leg singles game, played as the night's first singles game is. The organizers fill in its players, and the captains are told there's a Decider to play. Without one, once the level night is confirmed, the owner and admins see “Level after the night. Who goes through?” with a button for each team.
A tie settled by hand shows Open again on the cup card. Opening it works the result out again and removes the next tie's night. It can't be opened once the next tie has started.
