Your account

Change your name, handle or photo

Your profile is what Friends see: a photo, a display name, an optional nickname and an @handle. To change them, open Settings and tap your name at the top. That opens Profile.

Step by step

  1. Open your profileIn Settings, tap the card with your name at the top.
  2. Edit the fieldsChange your display name, nickname or handle.
  3. SaveTap Save. Saved shows beside the button when it's done.

What each one is

  • Display name: how your name appears to Friends, up to 50 characters.
  • Nickname: optional, what they call you at the board, up to 24 characters. It's shown with your name, like Dan “The Hammer” Rivera.
  • Handle: 2 to 20 letters, numbers or underscores, and it has to be one nobody else has. Players find you by it, so add one if you want Friends to be able to search for you.

Your photo

Tap Upload photo (or Change photo) at the top of Profile. JPEG, PNG and WebP images work, and they're resized to 512×512. Remove takes the photo off and shows your initials instead.

Your email

Your email isn't on your profile. Change it in Login & security: tap Change, enter the new address and tap Send confirmation. You keep signing in with the old one until you confirm the link we send to the new one.

Without an account

Profiles come with an account. If you're playing without one, save your games first. See Play without an account.
