Venues

Set up your venue

A venue is a pub or club that runs darts nights. Open Venues from the bottom of the Tournaments screen, or from Settings → Your venues once you help run one. You need an account to create or join a venue.

Step by step

  1. Open VenuesOn the Tournaments screen, tap Venues, then New venue.
  2. Name it and pick its web addressThe web address is the end of your venue page's link. It can't be changed later.
  3. Add the locationFill in the street address, city, state, ZIP code and country. Phone, email and website are optional.
  4. Create itTap Create venue. Your venue page opens, with you as its owner.

If you don't see New venue

Creating a venue isn't open to every account yet, so the button only shows for accounts that can. You can still join a venue's crew when it invites you, and anyone can host a tournament of their own without a venue.

The venue page and listing

The venue page shows its address, contact details and tournaments, grouped into Live, Taking entries and Past. Players see the contact details, and adding one also helps us verify the venue. With Show on thedarts.app off, the venue is kept out of listings and search, but its link still works. To change the details later, tap the Venue options button (⋯) on the venue page, then Edit details.

Your crew

RoleWhat they can do

StaffCheck people in and score

Under Crew, tap Invite and search by name or @handle. They join once they tap Accept on their own Venues screen. Tap someone on the crew to change their role or remove them.

Boards

In Boards, tap Add board for each board you have. Matches in the venue's tournaments are called to the boards that are switched on, in the order listed. Tap a board's name to rename or remove it. To run a tournament as the venue, choose the venue under Where in New tournament and leave the Run by switch on.
