Venues
What the Venue plan covers and how billing works
Hosting a tournament of your own is free for anyone, with sign-ups, check-in, the live link and the TV view. The Venue plan is for tournaments run by a venue. It's $199 a year per venue, and players never pay to join.
What it covers
- Starting tournaments run by the venue.
- Several boards, with each match called to the next free one.
- A board kiosk: a tablet that shows and scores each match called to its board.
- Crew accounts for managers and staff.
- The venue's events listed on its venue page.
Free periods
During the launch offer, venue features are on for free, and the Venue plans page shows the last free day. A plan started during the offer is first charged the day after that. Once billing has started, a venue that hasn't run a tournament as the venue gets its first one free, for up to 16 players, with no card needed.
Start, manage or cancel
Plans are sold on the web, at thedarts.app/venue-billing. Sign in there as the venue's owner or a manager, and each of your venues has a card:
- Start a plan opens a secure checkout page to add a card.
- Manage billing opens a page where you can change the card, see invoices or cancel.
The plan renews each year until you cancel. After canceling, it runs to the end of the year you paid for. The iPhone and Android apps don't sell plans.
Who pays
Whoever starts the plan pays for it with their card, and only they can manage its billing. If they delete their account, the plan stops renewing at the end of its year.
