Does my league need the League plan?
The League plan is for the league as a whole, at any size: any number of teams, divisions and organizers. It's $249 a year per league, and players and captains never pay. The league's owner sets it up on the website, thedarts.app.
When it's needed
- A league's first season doesn't need it: a season can start free if the league has never started one before. The plan is needed to start the second and later seasons.
- Until January 1, 2027, any season can start without it, and a plan set up before then isn't charged until that date.
- A season that's under way always finishes, plan or not.
- Without a plan, the league's tables, results and stats stay. Nothing is deleted.
When a season can't start
If a season needs the plan, Start season stays off and the Season card says so. Only the owner can set the plan up; other organizers are asked to check with the owner. The owner also gets an email about it. The iPhone and Android apps don't sell plans.
Managing billing
Signed in on the website, the League plans page (thedarts.app/league-billing) lists each league you own or pay for, with its plan. Start a plan sets one up, and Manage billing changes the card, shows invoices or cancels. Only the person who pays sees Manage billing, or Billing history once a plan has ended, so after the league changes owner, the plan stays with whoever pays for it.
The plan renews each year until it's canceled, and a canceled plan runs to the end of the year paid for. If the person who pays deletes their account, the plan stops renewing.
